Cashpoint robber arrested in Spain

A BRITON wanted for a series of cashpoint robberies which netted £164,000 has been arrested in Spain.

The 40-year-old man, who has not been named but comes from Leicester, was held near Tarragona on Spain's Costa Dorada, south of Barcelona.

He is alleged to have been a member of a gang in Britain which specialised in smashing bank cashpoints with mallets.
