Spanish Airports Re-open 15:30

Spanish airports are open.

The Spanish airports authority, AENA, has stated that they can re-open the Spanish airspace from 15:30. The restoration of operations in the airport of Barcelona, Girona, Reus, Sabadell, Palma de Mallorca, Menorca, Son Bonet, Asturias, Santander, Bilbao, San Sebastian, Vitoria, Pamplona, LogroƱo, Huesca and Zaragoza will be gradually in the afternoon. In the Barcelona airport case the estimate is that until the 19:00 hours airlines may not recover normal operations. Operations between Spanish airports and European airports affected by the ash cloud continue suspended.

Aena suggest passengers flying in the next hours to contact their airline or transport agent before going to the airport.

Also, according to Eurocontrol, airspace has currently total or partial restrictions for operation of civilian aircraft in the following countries: Germany, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, France, Finland, Netherlands, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Hungary, Italy, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Romania, Switzerland and Ukraine.
